So it’s all about choice, but how do you make the right one if you’re not sure what you want to do? We’re here to help. You can start by finding out what qualification suits you best.

With full-time courses, apprenticeship opportunities and progression routes right up to degree level, Solihull College & University Centre offers you a route direct to the career that suits you. Choose the subject you love and study it full-time.

Our vocational courses and apprenticeships are tailored to industry needs, ensuring you leave ready to launch your career or progress in education. Worried about getting into university? Don’t be – most universities accept vocational qualifications.

These courses are designed to prepare you for employment, a higher level course or university. They’re more practical than A-Levels and you’ll be studying in a working environment and assessed through assignments rather than exams. You’ll also have the opportunity to undertake a work placement.

For the chance to earn while you learn, apprenticeships are hard to beat. Your time will be divided between the workplace and the classroom, developing invaluable skills, putting them into practice and possibly earning a wage as you go. Students will need to have secured employment in order to apply.

On completing your apprenticeship the career prospects are endless. You could use your experience as a stepping stone onto the next level of apprenticeship, progress on to a university level qualification at the College or at a university, or step up to the next level in your employment.
